Snake and Ladder
Snakes and Ladders is an ancient Indian board game that has gained recognition as a timeless classic worldwide. The game is played with two or more players on a square gameboard marked with numbered grids. The board features various “ladders” and “snakes,” each connecting specific squares—ladders helping players ascend and snakes causing them to slip backward. The primary goal is to move one’s game piece from the starting position at the bottom of the board to the final square at the top, guided by die rolls, and influenced by the placement of ladders and snakes along the way. To play, players take turns rolling the dice. On a computer or mobile device, you can click or tap the “roll” button, or simply press the spacebar on your keyboard, to simulate the roll of the dice. The outcome determines how many squares you move your piece, with the objective of reaching the end first while navigating the game’s ups and downs.
