Atari Centipede

Atari Centipede is a classic fixed shooter arcade game where players must defend themselves against an onslaught of enemies, including centipedes, spiders, scorpions, and fleas, using your trusty bugblaster! The objective is to survive for as long as possible while battling these creepy crawlies in an exciting, fast-paced environment. Your bugblaster fires small darts at the segmented centipede, which is composed of 10 to 12 body parts, including its head. Each time you hit a segment, it turns into a mushroom, creating obstacles on the screen, while the remaining segments continue their relentless descent toward you. Defeating the centipede requires shooting its head; only then is it fully destroyed. To control your bugblaster, use the keyboard or mouse to move and aim, then fire to shoot down the incoming enemies. Stay alert, strategize your shots, and aim for the head to eliminate the threat before it reaches you!
